Happy Halloween, Belated
I forgot to upload my Belated Halloween party photos. To give a brief recap: we held a costume contest (it was their first time in costume!), had snacks, bobbed for apples and played a raucous game involving popping balloons tied to each others ankles. I went as a carrot, which made my students laugh. I got the inspiration from T. Lauer down in Malawi, and I have a huge orange bed sheet, so I couldn't pass up the opportunity.

This is my favorite group of students, the sophomore English majors. After the party, several told me they had the most wonderful time. It was great.

These are the costume contest winners. From left,: Lydia was a witch (place), Lauri (show) was a "samurai," and John (win) was a pirate. I believe that each won their votes not only based upon their costumes, but also because they really acted the parts of their characters.
You have never seen people go after apples the way my students bobbed for the apples. They wanted those apples, and they were going to get them. Lots of laughter and wet faces later, all of the apples were claimed.

Now I know it's never too late to celebrate Halloween in China--did I mention our party was on November 12?

Well Miss Carrot,
I must ask who does your decorating? That's some mighty impressive bubble letter skills on your black board.
