An electric hot water bottle

This is what keeps me warm at night. The sophomores of Class 2, sweethearts that they are, gave me this for Christmas, and I use it daily. It takes about 7 minutes to heat up completely, then is warm for over two hours. I thought the concept was a bit dodgy at first, electrifying a hot bottle of water, but I was slowly persuaded. They are very popular among students who can afford this high-tech version (the non-electric rubber hot-water bottle is also prevalent) and I'm glad to have mine. In this fresh air culture, any extra bit of heat is welcome in the cold winter. Are these on the market in the US? I can't remember ever seeing them...

OK, this grading break is over. More from me later.
